There are Adult and Junior categories, with prizes to be won.

- No AI-generated or AI-manipulated imagesÂ
- Submit high-resolution JPG/JPEG or PNG files suitable for printingÂ
- No watermark, signature, date stamp or borderÂ
- Amateur photographers onlyÂ
- Under-18s need parent or guardian permission.Â

EACH entry requires a completed entry form (using Google Forms if you have a Gmail account or download the PDF below and email it to info@ecoglen.org.za along with your photo).
EACH entry also requires payment of R30 per photograph – click on the link below to take you to a safe platform for payments (remember to give your name when you pay so we know its YOU!).Â

Who can enter?
Anyone can enter. You do not have to live in the areas around Ecoglen nor do you have to be a member of Ecoglen Association (although we’d love you to be!).Â
If you are NOT a member of Ecoglen, then you need to know that Ecoglen is access-controlled. Non-members can:
- Visit with a member (an opportunity to make new friends!)
- Attend an Ecoglen activity or clean-up taking place on Sat 26 Sept or Sat 31 Oct (between 8-10am)
- Become a member (R310 gives you access to Ecoglen for a year, plus vouchers for other nature reserves in Tshwane)
- Or contact us about access at info@ecoglen.org.za.
What prizes can I win?
Junior
- 1st: Kwalata Game Drive for 4 inside Dinokeng (Big-5!) Game reserve — R2,300 value
- 2nd: Photo print voucher — R500
Adult
- 1st: A1 print of winning photo from OutdoorPhoto — approx. R1,100 value
- 2nd: Capital Craft voucher — R500

Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or substituted.
A winning entrant must provide the original high-resolution photograph where required for printing. If the photograph is not of sufficient quality for the intended canvas print, Ecoglen will consult the applicant.
What should I take photos of?
Photograph anything that catches your eye — wildlife, plants, fungi, landscapes, people enjoying nature, patterns, close-up details or unexpected moments!
Anything goes as long as it is taken inside the Ecoglen area sometime between the 12 Sept and 30 Nov 2026.Â
When will prizes be announced?
Winners will be contacted by telephone and/or email, in December 2026 following completion of judging.
Should a winner fail to respond within five (5) working days, Ecoglen Association reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
Announcement of winners and hand-over of prizes will be by 16 December at an appointed date and time, by the Exco and prize sponsors.
Ecoglen may invite winners to be photographed when receiving their prizes. A winner’s name or prize-handover photograph will be published only with the winner’s consent or, where the winner is under 18, the consent of their parent or legal guardian.
